Outstanding Rocambole from Idaho. Original source is unknown. Our best producing Rocambole year after year. Better adapted to wet conditions than most others.
Selected from German Red many years ago. The cloves are more distinctively brown, thus was selected for this trait. Produces larger bulbs than German Red and outperforms many Rocambole strains.
A Northwest heirloom brought to the Portland area before the 1900s. Many connoisseurs believe that when well grown its flavor describes true garlic.

From the islands of Washington State, this is a fantastic strain with classic Rocambole flavor. Similar to Spanish Roja. A vigorous plant capable of producing very large bulbs. Will do well in both areas with mild or severe winters.
A strong flavored garlic but not overwhelming; initial hotness mellows to a warm, pleasant, and sweet aftertaste. Our stock was originally from Dacha Barinka in British Columbia. Deep green plants. Dark brown cloves.
