Seed Potatoes

Certified Organic Seed Potatoes. These potatoes have passed Washington State's certification program. Our northern grown seed potatoes are firm and beautiful. Choose Mid-March or April ship date.

NOTE: If ordered with fall garlic, potatoes will ship separately in the Spring. Potatoes cannot be shipped to Idaho.

GROWING INFORMATION: Store in a dark cool place until planting. Either plant whole, or cut into pieces about the size of an egg that have two or more 'eyes'. Plant in furrows 4-8 inches deep. Space potatoes 8''- 12'' in furrow. 1 lb of seed potatoes will usually plant 5-8 row feet. When plants have reached 6''- 9'' tall, hill plants by raking soil up to the plants so that only the top leaves are left uncovered. Hill plants a second time 2-3 week later. Mulch plants at this time if desired. Keep plants well watered until past flowering stage at which point water can be tapered off. Harvest when plants die back and fall over or before heavy frosts. To harden skins, plants can be cut, mowed, or burned off several weeks before harvest. Brush dirt off harvested potatoes and store in a cool, dark place with high humidity.
